La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals details on Vettel's transfer to Aston Martin

La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported more details about Sebastian Vettel's possible move to Racing Point (name changed to Aston Martin from 2021), and his role in the team. Vettel's German nationality would be an excellent advantage for the outfit.
Initially, Vettel's move to the British team was to be announced after the Seventieth anniversary Grand Prix. But since Sergio Perez tested positive for the coronavirus last week, the plan has been postponed. The Mexican is most likely make way for the German driver. It is still unclear where he is headed next.
Apart from his racing abilities, Vettel would also be commercially quite interesting for Aston Martin. The four-time world champion comes from Germany, the second most important market for the Aston Martin brand. The carmaker wants to make Vettel the face of Aston Martin in the hopes of selling more cars in the country.
Stroll stays, Perez leaves
It is still unclear when the team will make its formal announcement. Sources close to the team say it depends on the situation around Perez. They are expected to wait at least till get gets out of the quarantine. In any case, Lance Stroll is likely to stay with the team owned by his father, Lawrence Stroll.
