The fight for the World Championship will continue this week as Mercedes gets ready to do its best to retain the championship lead. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas lead the driver's standing. Hamilton has 63 points after three races, and Bottas has 58. Number three Max Verstappen is almost at half of the leader's with only 33 points.
British Grand Prix 2019
Thanks to the safety car, Hamilton, took home his sixth British GP victory in 2019. His Finnish teammate had taken the pole position.
The trendsetters of the day were not in a Mercedes but in a Ferrari and Red Bull. Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen were the protagonists in Austria a week earlier and had their eyes on Silverstone. They duelled for most of the race and were not afraid to make contact on the track, giving us some incredible moments of action.
Leclerc not only fought with the Dutchman but also with his teammate Sebastian Vettel. However, that game ended in tears after the German braked at 16th corner and pushed his Ferrari into the back of Verstappen's RB15. Both drivers resumed the race but lost their advantage. Verstappen finished fifth, while Vettel finished outside the points. Leclerc took advantage and finished at number three on the podium.
